PREP&RED combines independent preparedness information with equipment discovery and commercial referrals. Readers should be able to distinguish our information from advertising before following a paid product link.

How we may earn income

Some manufacturers, authorised distributors or affiliate networks may pay PREP&RED a commission when a visitor makes a qualifying purchase after using a marked referral link or code. The customer normally pays the seller directly, not PREP&RED. Commission arrangements and product prices vary by seller.

How paid links are identified

Where a product link, offer or specific recommendation is commercially affiliated, we will label it visibly at the point of the link or recommendation using wording such as “Ad · paid link”. Some paid promotional content may also be identified as “Ad” in its heading. A disclosure hidden only in this policy or a website footer is not enough to identify an individual commercial link.

Editorial independence

Payment or a potential commission does not guarantee a listing or favourable assessment. When we describe product performance we rely on identifiable available information, including manufacturer specifications and appropriate independent sources. We do not imply that we have personally tested equipment unless a page expressly records such testing.

Who sells the equipment?

Retailers and manufacturers—not PREP&RED—are responsible for their own prices, payments, dispatch, warranties, returns and customer support when purchases are completed on their sites. Check the seller’s current terms and safety instructions before buying.

Advertising compared with preparedness intelligence

Official warnings, source monitoring, public-safety information and analytical assessments are not sold as product endorsements. A commercial relationship must not determine an emergency warning classification. We endeavour to identify conflicts and clearly separate paid material from editorial information.
